Best trails for scenic views
Koko Crater
The Koko Head hike is an arduous trial, with a steep railway path up the side of a dormant volcano crater in the island of Oahu, Hawaii. It's a short hike in terms of distance, but the climb is steep and grueling. Many brave locals and tourists alike take on the challenge to experience the Koko Head sunrise and sunset, as well as the good workout and calorie burn that comes with the climb. The Koko Crater trail is not as difficult as the middle ridge of Moanalua valley, but you do have the tropical heat and humidity of Hawaii to contend with. Still, the trail is doable with the right shoes, lots of water, and a hat and sunscreen for the sun. And if you start earlier in the day, you can beat the heat and the crowds. The
panoramic views from the summit of Koko Head are simply breathtaking,
with sweeping vistas of the surrounding mountain range, the blue Pacific
Ocean, and the Hawaii Kai community below. So if you're looking for a challenging hike with a stunning view at the end, you can't go wrong with Koko Crater.
